The Honorable David Ramadan, Ed.D. | Consultant, Executive Coach, Professor
David is an entrepreneur and international consultant with over 25 years of experience in business, government relations, higher education, leadership, coaching, management, marketing, communications, public policy, public relations, immigration, community affairs, legislative advocacy, grassroots, and minority engagement with extensive knowledge of international markets including the Middle East and India.
In addition to executive and professional coaching, David specializes in leading external affairs and practicing business diplomacy with government entities, public officials, communities, stakeholders, and political parties. He has driven expansion into local and global markets for American franchises, pharmaceutical companies, food manufacturers, consumer goods, and retail corporations, orchestrating legal strategy, government licensing, human resources, community engagement, and sales and marketing.
David was elected and served two terms in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2012 to 2016. He served on the oldest and newest committees: Privileges and Elections, where he chaired the Constitutional Amendments Subcommittee, Science and Technology Committee, and General Laws Committee.
Dr. Ramadan is a Professor of Practice at George Mason University (his alma mater) and a Resident Scholar at the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia. He previously taught seminars in leadership and management at George Washington University. David also served as a member of the George Mason University Board of Visitors, appointed by the Governor of Virginia.
David has advised political candidates, including those for president, governor, and U.S. Senate and House on business issues, grassroots outreach, and minority engagement. He is frequently quoted in national publications and asked to appear on television and radio, including The New York Times, CNN, The Hill, The Washington Post, The Richmond Times-Dispatch, and NPR.
David emigrated to the United States from Lebanon in 1989 after attending International College in Beirut. He is a graduate of George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics and a Master of Arts degree in International Trade and Transactions. He completed graduate studies at Oxford University, the American Graduate School of Business in Geneva, Johns Hopkins University, and Georgetown University. David earned a Doctor of Education degree in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt University. His doctoral research is focused on online higher education and workforce training.
